FromtheCaseFiles.com was started in 2007 as an idea by Dr. Timothy Imler to standardize and modernize the classic morning report. Bringing the teachings of morning report to the online community allows for greater educational opportunities. FromtheCaseFiles is an online/database driven website for presenting and storing morning report cases with classic case based learning without any programming requirements.
What does FromtheCaseFiles.com cost?
NOTHING! This is a free educational tool for all of the medical community to use.
How do I see the cases?
To be able to see the cases submitted on the site you must sign up for membership and agree to the terms and policies of the site. All users will be screened to ensure that we allow only members of the medical community in for educational purposes.
Can I submit a case?
Yes. Any medical student, resident, fellow, or faculty member is allowed to submit a case for publication and review. All material submitted must adhere to HIPPA guidelines at the responsibility of the submitter and all images become property of FromtheCaseFiles once submitted.
How do I submit a case?
No programming is required. A simple form based process will walk you through all the steps towards submitting your case for review.
Are my cases considered published?
The quick answer is "yes" but with a caveat. The cases do not meet strict peer review criteria and are reviewed for overall content and meeting certain quality/privacy guidelines only. In the future we hope to bring forth an editorial review board for a more stringent publication guideline.
